Brain training using creativity develops self-acceptance as pride comes from your accomplishments in creative writing.
THE WRITERS’ STIMULUS eBook’s theme is ATIVITY=INTELLIGENCE=CONFIDENCE=OPTIMISM. To adhere to this theme results in self-acceptance.
If you are enjoying your brain training you’ll do it consistently and to brain train regularly will make you successful at it.
I want people to write short stories, articles, novels and screenplays. But I also encourage people to use an effective method of creative brain training by writing film files about movies they watch using the eBook’s 90 story writing tips (brain training tips). You grew up watching films and you always will – to create film files for your interesting movies (and films that are your past favorites) is enjoyable brain fitness that you’ll do regularly.
I enjoyed a piece of writing from Joseph Dahon’s blog www.withinyouisyoursuccess.com as it relates to us motivating ourselves through creative writing.
“Do you really know yourself?
While it is so easy to make self-assessment, usually favorable, the fact is our knowledge of self is very limited, too biased and usually the product of what we would like others to see and think of who and what we are. We hunger for acceptance, so we do all we can to be acceptable. We package ourselves to look appealing to the people around us, like the commercials and ads we see daily that promote products we would otherwise not know of.
We all hunger for love, respect, recognition, good health, happiness, success and all the other desires common to men. While they are difficult to achieve, they are not impossible. But hanging on to them, making them last will elude those who are living outside of themselves. Nothing real can exist in a make-believe world.
To achieve and hang on to them to be meaningful, to be true and real, have self-awareness in your life.
What is Self-awareness?
Self-awareness is to clearly know your personality, strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivations and emotions.
It is to be able to answer the question, “Do you know yourself?” with all honesty and candor.
Self-awareness allows you to understand others, how they perceive you, your attitude and your responses to them in any given moment. It is knowing and accepting what others think of you, no matter how unwholesome it may be.
Self-awareness is very important because it allows you to make changes in your thoughts and interpretations of the world around you. Changing your interpretations gives you control over your emotions, which generally govern your actions and reactions to any situation you find yourself in.
It is essential in mastering your thoughts and creating what you want. It allows you to focus your attention, your emotions, reactions, personality and behavior, which determine where you want to go in life.
It is a very important factor in achieving happiness and success.
Happiness is a feeling that comes from the achievement of a goal or the realization of a promise. It is a state of being emotionally at rest or at peace with oneself. It is not bought, given, acquired or stolen from someone. It is a deliberate choice.
People who are self-aware find it easy to make that choice because they have a better control over themselves, to slow down and pay attention to their thoughts and feelings and analyze them from an external perspective.
They have no hang-ups in asking for and receiving feedback from close friends and family. They are aware of their own biases and have learned to live around them.
I felt the key to what Joseph Dahon was saying was “We hunger for acceptance, so we do all we can to be acceptable.”
To have the feeling of achievement using one of our original forms of intelligence, creativity, will aid us with a feeling of accomplishment that in turn allows us better self-acceptance.
But we have to accept ourselves before we can accept anyone else.
Your creative writing and your eBook film files are your creations that you own forever. You keep them stored in your computer files, your laptop, tablet or phone.
You’ll be amazed how viewing the same film a year or years later (and then viewing your original film file of that movie you created using the eBook’s tools) will display how much you’ve grown as a creative artist, which is a brain boosting accomplishment that aids in your self-acceptance.
CREATIVITY=INTELLIGENCE=CONFIDENCE=OPTIMISM is self-acceptance. Always remember that you are worth it.
